Intro to this Week
This class is a mix between Multimedia Production theory and putting that theory into practice. That means we’ll switch back and forth between lecture/theory and the Adobe software used for Multimedia Production.
One note, this is a combined class with MSP-74 (Multimedia Production I) and MSP-75 (Multimedia Production II). We will all be working together through the same materials. However, since the advanced class has already taken MSP-74, I’ll have higher expectations for their work and may, sometimes, assign them additional course materials.
This Week’s Work:
This week’s work includes a review of syllabus material and an introduction to Multimedia as a topic. You’ll have some homework listed below which we’ll then discuss in class.
Tuesday
1. Syllabus Review
The syllabus gives you pertinent information about how the class works, what is expected of you, and how I will grade you. We’ll review a lot of it in class, but then you must complete Lab 1, the Syllabus Quiz (yes, these will be your first participation points).
2. Homework
Read the following 2 articles on Balance and be prepared to discuss what you learned in Thursday’s class:
Thursday
1. Multimedia and Balance discussions
We’ll discuss Multimedia as a subject and then see what you learned from the 2 articles on Balance. We’ll wrap up with this video on 98 Principles of Design Balance
2. Intro to Illustrator
We may jump into Illustrator on Thursday. In case you missed class (or want a review), below is the introductory video we watched:
