I am a current Chico State college student from Hayward, California, and a student photographer. I have been heavily interested in photography since my sophomore year of high school and have learned and gained so much experience since then. I have been a part of a multicultural sorority, Zeta Sigma Chi, for about 2 years and for a while I was the designated photographer taking portraits and group photos. This experience has allowed me to learn more about directing people for photos such as poses and learning different editing techniques/preferences too. Since being in Chico I’ve taken a film photography class and learned that it is something I truly enjoy. Being able to have such hands-on experience with photography is something I'm grateful for and it’s something I will continue to incorporate into my work as much as I can.
Outside of school, some of my favorite things to do are go to concerts and travel, so I have been to many concerts and have traveled for some, including the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago. It was an amazing experience and with concerts comes photography and videography of all kinds. Going to festivals and concerts is always a fun time and I get the chance to watch photographers at work. It inspires me to want to reach that level because If there's anything I want to do after college I hope it involves concert photography for even a short time. Whether or not it’s for professional purposes, I will always photograph everything.
