Chicano culture shines through in various artistic expression, such as lowriding, street art, fashion, music, and hair artistry, showcasing the richness of their heritage. Fundamentally, Chicanos cherish family connections and the importance of coming together, no matter their challenges. They also value deep-rooted traditions, including religion, respect, and the roles that guide their lifestyles. The word Chicanos is also a way for Mexican Americans to claim their ethnicity and brown pride. There are also Chicanos and Chicans that represent the relationship between men and women. Chicanas are describes as very exotic as they have a specific look to them and the clothing they wear. Chicanas are percieved in a negative way becuase of how they act and how they live their lives.
