Neestha Tuladhar

Artist | Video Editor | Student

My name is Neestha Tuladhar and I am a third-year Media Arts Design and Technology production major. My main interest in this major is related to cinematography and film but I also enjoy the design aspects of the major as well. I am Nepali but I was born and raised in Chico and have lived here my whole life. I am also bilingual and fluent in two different languages.

I chose to study media arts because I am an artistic person who wants to be able to connect with people through various forms of media. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in filmmaking and cinematography that allows me to travel the world and explore different cultures. My ultimate goal is to create media that expresses my emotions and tells a story that people can relate to or find comfort in. I would like to create something that leaves an impact on people no matter how big or small that impact is. In my free time, I love to create various types of art (digital, traditional, and mixed media), watch animated shows/films, listen to music, write stories, film videos, and play video games. I am also interested in media analysis and I love to find the deeper meanings of symbolism in media that I like. As someone who wants to create media, I think it is important to understand the intentions of the media we consume and the message that it is trying to convey to its audience so that we can use these methods to shape the media we create.
