Overview
Switch is an idol unit from the Japanese rhythm game Ensemble Stars. The group consists of three members with Natsume Sakasaki (center) as the leader along with Tsumugi Aoba (left) and Sora Harukawa (right). Their group is under the agency NEW DIMENSION. Their theme color is yellowish-green and their motif is a lightning bolt. The unit’s goal is to mesmerize their fans with their magical music to create a “happy magic party lasting forever” with their upbeat techno and electronic dance-esque music. History
Throughout the years the meaning of the unit’s concept and name has changed various times. Switch was originally supposed to be a sports-themed unit with the concept of sporty idols that do energetic performances to hype up fans. The “S” in Switch was meant to stand for sports however the meaning of the unit’s name changed due to Tsumugi suggesting that Natsume “switch” his negative attitude to a positive one to move on from the disbandment of his previous idol unit. With the addition of Sora to the group the unit’s current name and concept is meant to represent a group of witches/magicians who spread happy magic through their music.
