Born and raised in Southern California, I spent my early years in the San Fernando Valley before moving to the Antelope Valley. Growing up in a strong, Hispanic, and Catholic family, my mother raised me on her own until I was 6 where she then met my step dad and had 3 more kids, making me the oldest. As the first in my family to attend college, it was/is a huge weight to carry but I love that my younger siblings get to have someone to look up to which is what I didn’t have.
I started my academic journey as a Cellular Molecular Biology major, but I quickly realized that my true passion lay in social media, digital marketing, and storytelling. With the help of my work experiences, particularly my role as Lead Marketing Assistant for the Associated Students, I discovered my strengths in social media and shifted my focus. I am now pursuing a major in Media Arts with a minor in Social Media Analysis and Broadcasting, with the goal of working in sports media, specifically focusing on game day promotions, athlete highlights, and sports marketing campaigns.
In my limited free time, I love exploring new restaurants with my partner, watching shows, and indulging in monthly self-care rituals like getting my nails done. I also am the president of the co-ed hip hop dance team on campus, and do photography on the side for a little extra income.
