Hello! My name is Tianna G. Thompson, and art has been my lifelong passion. However, it wasn't until recently that I discovered my love for digital art. Growing up, access to digital devices was limited, hindering my exploration. It wasn't until my sophomore year of high school that I finally dove into digital artistry. Unfortunately, this coincided with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, which temporarily halted my creative pursuits. Despite the challenges, my family and I persevered, emerging stronger. Returning to school for my senior year reignited my passion for digital art, and I've been pursuing it ever since.
While going to school, I wasn’t just a student, I was also an athlete. Ever since middle school, I have been in love with Track and Field and have continued my passion into college. Being able to balance sports and education was difficult, but I was able to do so because of my passion for both. My family has always encouraged me to follow my passion for running, but they make sure that I keep my education as a priority. Without them, nothing I have accomplished would have been possible. Being able to keep my grades high and excel at my sport, I was able to catch the eye of some major schools and was offered scholarships to run for them. That is how I ended up at Chico State University! I plan to continue learning about art and communication design while also competing at a higher level for the Chico State track team.
