Hello, my name is Vanessa Iniguez and I am a second year Communication Design major at Chico State. I am currently 19 years old and I will turn 20 on December 9th. I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA and I like to go visit my family whenever I get the chance. I have two sisters but I will be the first in my family to earn a Bachelor’s degree. In my free time I like to paint, hang out with friends, and go thrifting. I am also very interested in movies; I love going to the movie theater, reviewing movies, and discussing movies with people on social media.

I began my journey as a Graphic Designer in my third year of high school when I took a Intro to Graphic Design class. I love that I have found a career that I am passionate about and where I can use my creativity. I am currently working as a Graphic Design Student Assistant for Associated Students. I love my job because I get to learn what designing for clients is like and work on my professional portfolio. I also do Graphic Design as an intern for Chico State’s KCSC Radio. As an intern, I get to create all kinds of cool graphics to promote all our different events. When I graduate I hope to become a freelance Graphic Designer, however, I would also be interested in possibly pursuing UX/UI Design. I am excited to learn about Web Design this semester because I have never done it before so it will be a fun challenge. My goal for this class is to become comfortable with using DreamWeaver and to design some cool websites.
