Hello my name is Kai Bucholz. I am currently attending Butte College with a plan to transfer to Chico State to achieve my bachelor's in Communication Design. I am currently planning to start a nonprofit for current and former foster youth where we can provide a platform for current and former foster youth to make and sell art. On campus here at Butte, I am a proud member of Inspiring Scholars and a full-time student. I spend most of my time drawing, doing school work, and hanging out with friends and family. Last school year was my first year back to school since 2020 During my absence from school I was pursuing a career in audio engineering because I have a huge passion for music. Music has taken me to so many places in my life my favorite being Honolulu, Hawaii where I worked as an audio engineer intern for Idea Studios. Hawaii was my favorite because I'm part native Hawaiian and it meant a lot to me to be able to see the place where my ancestors lived. After my Internship had ended at Idea Studios I decided to come back to school here at Butte College and since then I've been having a great time. This year, I had the exciting opportunity to showcase my artwork at the Museum of Northern California's exhibit, “The Foster Care Museum.” Since then, I’ve become more involved with the museum, joining the planning committee and creating a new piece for this year’s exhibition. I’d love for you to visit in March and show your support. Your presence would mean a lot!
