I started at Butte College as a computer science major, but I did not enjoy it at all. I chose to be a graphic design major because it was what I enjoy doing the most and I discovered that in high school when I took my first class. I like to design logos for friends and family come up with brand new unique ideas for stickers, clothes, etc. I am not sure how I will end up working in the graphic design field as it seems to be hard to get into let alone profit decently from, but I would be happy to do something I enjoy.
Most of the time you can find me gaming, going on little adventures with my girlfriend and dog, or hanging out with family. I grew up being homeschooled until the age of 16 so I have a lot of experience with computers and working online. That is one of the things that draws me to want to work in graphic design as well as growing up watching my parents. My parents had an online business when I was growing up so my dad would design pictures and art for the pages, while my mom would write the code to create the site. Technology and the internet had always been a big part of my life and my dad always told me how much value it would have in the future. With the advancement of AI and such things I would hope that graphic designers and manual computer labor is still around when I am ready to join the field.
