The characters that I am going to focus on for my review are going to the main cast of Persona 3. Ken Amada, Yukari Takeba, Junpei Iori, Fuuka Yamagishi, Mitsuru Kirijo, Akihiko Sanada, Aigis, Koromaru, and Shinjiro Aragaki. These are the characters that the player will spend most of their time with, and something that they all have in common is death and how it affects them. It shows many ways people die and how people cope with it. Ken's mother was murdered, so he joined S.E.E.S. to get revenge for her death. He stays at arm's length from the rest of the party until he gets to enact his revenge. Still, he finds out the person who murdered his mother was a member of S.E.E.S., and the person who saved his life was Shinjiro Aragaki, who lost control of his persona in the middle of a fight with a shadow and took Ken under his wing to try to repent for her death. This all comes to a head when Ken confronts him. Shinjiro is fine with Ken killing him so he can move on with his life, but Ken is conflicted; he is angry but doesn't want to kill Shinjiro, and the party tries to talk them down. This is why I like the characters in Persona 3; they have depth, and their goals aren't clear-cut and change as the story goes on.
