GAME DEVELOPMENT

One half of the Computer Animation & Game Development degree would be the latter half of the title, being Game Development itself. This half of the degree is focused entirely around, as the name suggests, the development of video games, with the topic covering many different aspects of the process itself, such as Programming, Modeling, Designing, Prototyping, and eventually, releasing a finished product. This side of the degree does touch similar aspects as Animation, such as the Modeling process, but focuses away from the process of animation and instead entirely around the execution of the various aforementioned ideas. This is also the part of the degree that I myself have been working towards, and currently am learning how to create prototypes of games, focusing around creating simple gameplay systems and making sure the game itself is fun, before really putting any development hours into the final product. It is all a long, complex process, especially for those that have difficulty properly understanding the required code for certain requirements, but in the end, its a degree focused entirely around accepting challenge, and completing said challenge to the best efforts.
