Week 13: Responsive Page Layout using Bootstrap

Intro to this Week

I can’t believe how quickly the end of the semester is approaching! At this point, we need to concentrate on projects and completion, so we’re just doing a lab assignment this week, then you can get back to your current project. You can use in-class time for the lab assignment (you’ll need headphones/earbuds to listen to the video tutorial) or complete it at home, using in-class time on Project 4.

This Week’s Work

1. Reminder: Advisors are available

This is a good time to talk to an advisor and make sure you’re on track.

2. Video Tutorial

Today’s subject is Bootstrap which is a front-end web framework for developing web pages. More accurately, it is a “free and open-source CSS framework directed at responsive, mobile-first front-end web development. It contains CSS- and (optionally) JavaScript-based design templates for typography, forms, buttons, navigation, and other interface components”. (Wikipedia)

Watch the video tutorial on Creating Responsive Page Layouts using Bootstrap. Try this in Dreamweaver while watching. You can use this image of Italy. Also, we reference these webpages:
